
The Personal Data Protection Agency in South Korea announced on Monday a new warning related to the application of artificial intelligence. According to the agency, harmful apps targeting users of smart phones were discovered.
The agency indicated that these harmful programs use advanced techniques to access personal data and sensitive information of users. It clarified that such programs are capable of collecting information without the user's knowledge and transferring it to external entities without permission.
In a statement to the press, the director of the Personal Data Protection Agency in South Korea said, "We urge all smart phone users to exercise caution and to download apps only from official sources and to verify the permissions requested by the applications before installation."
