The deal was so popular that investors offered to purchase more than 600 times the number of shares sold.The company was founded in 2010 by Kim Min-seok and Son Dong-woon, and Bloomberg estimates the family's wealth at the time of the IPO to be approximately 246 billion won ($169 million).A significant portion of the family's wealth tied to the 'Baby Shark' song belongs to Kim; his personal fortune is estimated at around 97.3 billion won ($66.4 million), reflecting his 18% stake in Pinkfong prior to the IPO.
