South Korean company Samsung has announced a new water purifier that can also produce hot water and ice. The company explained that the new "Bespoke AI Ice & Water Purifier" connects to the water and sewerage networks and offers three main functions. The first is water purification using a combination of a filter and ultraviolet radiation to remove 82 pollutants, including microplastics, heavy metals, and bacteria. The second function is the ability to cool water down to five degrees Celsius and heat it up to 90 degrees, thus eliminating the need for an electric kettle. The third function is the device's capacity to produce up to eight kilograms of ice per day with a tank capacity of 800 grams, equivalent to about 100 ice cubes. The device is operated via a 4.3-inch touchscreen or through the Samsung SmartThings application.
