South Korean actor Lee Byung-hun, known for his role as Frontman in the popular Netflix series Squid Game, reveals in an interview with EFE how it has been to portray three characters in the second season of the series, giving viewers a new glimpse into his past.

"In the first season, I could only make a cameo, but in this one I play the Leader, Hwang In-ho, who represents his past, and Oh Young-il, player 001 in the new games. The combination of these three characters makes up Frontman," Lee explains.

At the end of the first season, it is revealed that Hwang is the one overseeing the games, being the stepbrother of investigator Hwang Jun-ho, which triggers an investigation. Lee mentions that the response to Squid Game is the most positive he has experienced in his career.

During the first season, Lee hides his identity, but in the second he must act as Oh Young-il in front of the new players, keeping these three characters present in each scene. However, through this disguise game, part of his past is revealed, including a tragic event that led to the character's transformation into a villain.
