The military department of South Korea reported that a military drone collided with a helicopter that was on the airstrip. The incident occurred at the airport in the Chechon region, located in the eastern part of the country, during military exercises.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the collision, the helicopter's engine was damaged; however, the pilot was able to successfully land and remain alive. Military representatives are clarifying the details of the incident and identifying the causes of the crash.
"We are conducting an investigation into the incident to determine all the circumstances and identify those responsible. It is important to analyze the incident so that similar incidents can be avoided in the future," - noted a representative of the military department.
