During a video call with US troops in South Korea, President Trump unexpectedly asked about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, stating they had built a relationship despite Kim's challenging nature.

President of the USA Donald Trump addressed the military personnel from the American army, stationed in South Korea, and unexpectedly asked them about the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.

Trump connected with approximately 20 soldiers of the military unit on Monday via video link and asked: "How is it with Kim Jong Un?".

During the conversation via satellite connection with the military unit, Trump said: "How are things over there? Although we have good relations with him, he is a complicated person to deal with."

Trump added in his discussion about the leader of North Korea: "He has nuclear capabilities in the present time, but we co-exist. And I think he would be glad for my return."

South Korea hosts about 30 thousand American military personnel.
