
As a result of a fire on board the Airbus A321 aircraft belonging to the Busan airline and heading to Hong Kong, a call was made to the fire department at Gimhae International Airport. All 170 passengers and crew members were evacuated, and no one was injured. Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire.
According to Yonhap agency, authorities in South Korea reported the fire on board the aircraft and sent fire crews to the scene. The aircraft was in the process of preparing for takeoff when the fire broke out. The cause of the incident is currently unknown, with investigations already underway.
"We successfully evacuated all passengers and crew members, and no one was injured," confirmed South Korean officials. "All efforts are now focused on mitigating the aftermath of the fire."
Emergency services are working at the scene to prevent the spread of the fire to other areas of the airport. Air traffic at the airport was temporarily suspended.
