The course of these events refers to the moment when the North Korean authorities began the demolition of a center in the city of Kumgang, which was used for family reunions, divided by the aftermath of the war between the two Koreas. A representative of the South Korean government also noted that "this unilateral destruction by North Korea cannot be justified under any circumstances" and called for accountability from the authorities in Pyongyang.
