North Korea Criticizes US-South Korea Military Drills

North Korean media criticize the annual joint military exercises between the USA and South Korea, held on the territory of the latter. In response to the beginning of these exercises, North Korean armed forces launched projectiles toward the sea off the western coast of the country, specifically at 04:50 Greenwich Mean Time on Monday.

According to a statement from the General Staff of South Korea, directed to journalists, the KCNA released several ballistic missiles of an undisclosed model off its western coastline on Monday. It is specified that the South Korean military enhanced monitoring and observation in connection with this incident.

"The Korean Central News Agency (Reuters) transmits the words of the representatives of South Korea regarding the launches of missiles: 'The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea launched several ballistic missiles of an undisclosed model toward its western coast.'"
