The legal team of Yoon Suk Yeol said in a statement on Tuesday: "We believe it is our duty to clearly document the issues that marred this verdict." Last week, the Seoul Central District Court ruled that Yoon was guilty of leading the 2024 rebellion aimed at 'paralyzing' the National Assembly's work through the declaration of martial law, and sentenced him to life in prison. Yoon delivered a surprise address to the nation on the night of December 3, 2024, in which he spoke of threats, not only recorded in court records, but also presented to the judgment of history in the future."
