South Korea recorded its ever-largest current account surplus in November 2025, supported by strong exports, according to data released by the Bank of Korea yesterday. South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported that the country's current account surplus reached $12.24 billion in November, a sharp increase from $6.81 billion in the previous month. This is the largest amount ever recorded for any November since the related data collection began in 1980. The country has posted a current account surplus every month since May 2023, marking the second-longest series of surpluses on record.
