In Bocheon, South Korea, several civilians were injured after a fighter jet accidentally dropped eight bombs during military training exercises. Emergency services report serious injuries among four victims.

According to a statement from the South Korean Ministry of Defense, several civilians were injured as a result of one of the missiles accidentally being dropped outside the established firing zone during military exercises. The ministry reported that all bombs of various types MK-82 were anomalously dropped from an F-16 fighter jet of the South Korean Air Force and exploded beyond the established firing zone. The ministry expressed deep regret regarding the incident that led to injuries among civilians.

One of the commanders of the fire service stated that fewer people received injuries as a result of the debris falling in the civilian zone during military exercises with live ammunition in Puchon, South Korea. According to him, four injured people are in serious condition.
