LG Unveils LG Sound Suite at CES 2026

Seoul, South Korea. — In the framework of the upcoming CES 2026, LG Electronics (LG) has announced the transformation of home entertainment through the launch of the LG Sound Suite. This innovative modular audio system stands out for including the H7 soundbar, recognized as the first in the world powered by Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology. This solution allows for unprecedented flexibility, automatically adapting surround sound to the specific layout of each room.

Flexibility and Next-Generation Connectivity The LG Sound Suite system has been designed to work in perfect sync with the brand's premium televisions. Users can pair various wireless components, such as the M7 and M5 surround speakers, along with the W7 subwoofer, allowing for up to 27 different combinations. This modular architecture allows consumers to scale from a compact system to a 13.1.7-channel home cinema. Additionally, LG will bring Dolby Atmos FlexConnect technology to its 2026 premium television line and selected 2025 models via a future software update. Thanks to Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, device integration and streaming are done seamlessly, eliminating the complexities of traditional audio systems.

AI-Powered Innovation To elevate the user experience, LG has incorporated the Sound Follow function, which uses ultra-wideband (UWB) technology to locate the listener and adjust the optimal listening point in real time. Complementing this, the Room Calibration Pro system uses artificial intelligence to analyze the room's acoustics and balance the audio precisely. The core of the H7 soundbar features the α (Alpha) 11 AI Processor Gen 3, the same high-performance chip used in the company's flagship OLED TVs. This processor uses deep learning for AI-driven object separation, ensuring that voices, music, and special effects are perceived with total clarity.

Strategic Alliance and Sound Quality The sonic performance of the LG Sound Suite is reinforced by the inclusion of speaker units from the Peerless brand, renowned for its high-performance manufacturing for over a century. «The LG Sound Suite combines Dolby Atmos FlexConnect with its wireless modular design and an AI-driven adjustment,» highlighted Lee Jeong-seok, Head of the Audio Division at LG, emphasizing the company's focus on comfort and personalized immersion. Meanwhile, John Couling of Dolby Laboratories pointed out that this collaboration unlocks a new level of flexibility, allowing the system to integrate naturally into any corner of the home. The LG Sound Suite ecosystem will be officially on display during CES 2026, to be held from January 6 to 9.

Marcos announces SSS office opening in Seoul for Filipino workers

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced the opening of a new Social Security System (SSS) office in Seoul, South Korea, ensuring that overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) will have easier access to essential government services. Speaking before members of the Filipino community in Busan, the President said the SSS office, located at the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, will handle membership registration, contribution payments, and claims processing. "I want to assure you, hindi namin kayo nakakalimutan." "The Filipino worker is as good a worker as you will find anywhere in the world," he said. He reiterated his administration’s long-term goal of making overseas employment a choice rather than a necessity by creating more opportunities within the Philippines. The President arrived in South Korea earlier this week to attend the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Gyeongju. "We are working hard to make sure government services reach you, all the way here in Korea or wherever you are," Marcos said. He emphasized that the initiative is part of his administration’s broader goal to make government services more accessible to Filipinos abroad and to strengthen social protection programs for OFWs. Marcos also revealed that the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) will open a Philippine Consulate General in Busan next year, serving Filipinos in Busan, Ulsan, and Gimhae. The new office will process passports, civil registry documents, and other consular services. "This is an important step to bring government services closer to Filipinos here in Busan," he said. Expressing gratitude to overseas Filipinos for their hard work and contributions, Marcos highlighted that they remain vital to the nation’s progress.
